Personnel dedicated to manual data entry of shipping data into other business systems or processing printed manifests can now be assigned to other more productive responsibilities. Call Tag and Delivery Confirmation labeling can automatically be generated by the system. UPS OnLine® "Ship Notification" service automatically generates a fax to the consignee or specified third party, indicating the package ship date, scheduled delivery date, reference numbers, and merchandise description (if applicable). Full Visibility Tracking: When a unique bar code is attached to a
package and detailed package information is uploaded electronically to UPS,
one can access ship dates, in-transit routing information, applicable
reference numbers, and even merchandise description for any tracked package.
