What Is A Labeler/Tabber?
A labeler feeds one-up pressure-sensitive labels and stacked individual mail pieces. As the mail piece is fed through the machine, a label is automatically peeled from its backing paper and pressed into position on the mail piece.
A tabber feeds one-up pressure-sensitive tabs (wafer seals) and stacked individual mail pieces, such as self-mailers and double postcards, that require one open side to be sealed. As the mail piece is fed through the machine, a tab is peeled off its backing paper, wrapped around the open end of the mail piece, and pressed closed.
Rena offers a complete line of machines to do one or both jobs. Labeler/Tabbers can either label or tab depending on which material is loaded into the machine. Labelers can only apply pressure-sensitive labels. The Rena UT-361 in-line-tabbing module can only apply pressure-sensitive tabs, either clear film or paper. In-line means that the tabbing module may sit in front of another machine to that will feed the pieces through it. The UT-361 can be used with most of Rena's other tabletop equipment. There is a separate feed-only unit, the AF-371, available for the UT-361 as well.
